That’s awesome David!
Recognition by your friends is where it all begins…. at least that’s how it worked in my case.
Take advantage of the opportunity to help where ever you can. It’s great experience and you will bring a lot of joy to people who might never be able to afford to hire a professional designer. It’s a win – win for both of you.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
Hope you have a chance to check out more of my design videos.
Sincerely, RR

Thanks jayr0422
Cleaning out Joeys room was a joint effort. Remember, this was a surprise for him. He had no idea when he left for Greece, he’d return to a brand new room. Consequently, Joey had no part in preparing for the remodel. I think his mom had the bulk of the job and tried hard not to arbitrarily throw out something Joey might actually want to keep. It was a challenge for sure!
Fortunately for Joey AND HIS MOM, no embarrassing surprises were found among the rubble
Thanks again,
RR

Wow, you guys did an awesome job. When I watch these home makeover shows I always wonder what type of “interesting” things you guys find while clearing out the rooms, lol

@robesondesign I agree 100%. IKEA is a great place to shop for apartment dwellers on a budget like me. By mixing my IKEA pieces with moderately priced accessories from other places, I have created that designer look. Im starting to get request from visitors to help them with their homes!

I agree webkinz10971,
IKEA is amazing for providing affordable, hip, functional furniture and accessory items for the average home owner to create their own stylish rooms. As a professional Interior Design Firm, we seldom have the opportunity to work with Ikea pieces because our clients are usually looking for a higher end product. Joeys room was a great opportunity for us to “do our thing” on an affordable level.
Hope you gleaned some new ideas here.
Best,
RR

I’m glad you liked Joeys room transformation. While I agree that money is a key component to any remodeling project, it’s not “everything” as you suggest. In fact, money, doesn’t guarantee or buy good taste. I would say “TALENT” is far more important in good design. Robeson Design has completed projects that have ranged from $30/sq.ft. to $1000/sq.ft. In every case, the homes are fabulous no matter what the cost. It’s the talent behind the design that makes the difference!
Best 2 you
RR

I’ve patented an attractive, metal futon frame that can be assembled in about two minutes by one person without instructions, tools, or small parts like nuts and bolts. It’s also far easier to convert to a bed than other futons.
I designed it to be cheap and easy to manufacture. I’m selling the exclusive patent rights for $5k plus a very small royalty. You can watch a short demonstration by clicking on my screen name. Contact me any time.
Thanks for watching.
